Finding a balance between work and home
As a result of NTEU’s negotiations in the last ‘round’ of collective bargaining, university staff now enjoy Australia’s leading standard on paid maternity leave. However, returning to work is often difficult. We now need to focus on more flexible working arrangements and better carers’ leave to look after young children and the elderly.
Although our work is important, so are our families. NTEU is seeking a better work-life balance for all university staff.
